Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader in Redding, CA to oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts and lead the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You will manage opening/closing tasks, inventory, and adherence to safety standards, while coaching staff on new products and procedures.

This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and maintaining high quality service with a focus on meeting speed and customer satisfaction goals within EPL standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience and pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class after hire.
• Certification in EPL SPECS and Food Safety standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant operations during assigned shifts and ensure adherence to company standards.
• Coordinate opening/closing procedures, inventory checks, and cash handling.
• Train and support team members on new products and procedures.
• Ensure customer service targets and cleanliness/QSC standards are met.
• Maintain safety practices and comply with health codes.
