Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos is seeking a Shift Leader to ensure every shift runs smoothly and we deliver a Damn Good guest experience. You will balance hands-on involvement with guiding and supporting the team across FOH and BOH, including opening/closing, prep, inventory, and cash handling.

You will lead with Torchy’s values, train and mentor team members, uphold food safety and cleanliness, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while driving operational excellence and guest satisfaction on every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role in a restaurant or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, guest service, and operations.
• Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with focus on guest experience and operational excellence.
• Open/close the restaurant as a key holder when needed.
• Delegate tasks to team members to keep service smooth.
• Engage with guests to address needs promptly and professionally.
• Train and mentor team members to meet standards.
• Maintain FOH/BOH process knowledge, food safety, and cleanliness.
• Support inventory, prep levels, and line checks for quality.
• Supervise cash handling during opening and closing.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory checklists.
• Resolve issues with urgency and escalate as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
