Torchy’s Tacos is hiring a Shift Leader for a part-time role in California. You will supervise shifts, lead both FOH and BOH activities, delegate tasks, and ensure a Damn Good guest experience. The job includes opening/closing, inventory checks, cash handling, and coaching team members to meet standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, guest service, and restaurant operations.
• Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
• Serve as a key holder, opening and closing the restaurant and ensuring security.
• Identify, prioritize, and delegate tasks to team members during your shift.
• Engage with guests to meet their needs and address concerns with urgency.
• Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members to meet standards.
• Maintain knowledge of FOH and BOH processes, including food safety and cleanliness.
• Support inventory management, prep levels, and line checks to uphold quality.
• Supervise cash handling with accuracy and adherence to policies.
• Complete health, safety, and regulatory checklists and escalate issues when needed.
• Perform other duties or projects as required to meet business needs.
