Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos in Spring, PA is seeking a Shift Leader to ensure smooth shifts and deliver a Damn Good experience for guests. You will balance hands-on leadership with coaching FOH and BOH teams, maintaining food safety, inventory, and cash handling while upholding Torchy’s values.

Responsibilities include opening/closing as a key holder, delegating tasks, training staff, and addressing guest concerns with urgency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, guest service, and restaurant operations.
• Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
• Serve as a key holder for opening/closing the restaurant and securing the facility.
• Delegate tasks to team members to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
• Engage with guests to address needs with urgency and care.
• Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members to meet standards.
• Maintain knowledge of FOH and BOH processes, including recipe adherence and food safety.
• Support inventory management, prep levels, and line checks to uphold quality.
• Supervise cash handling during opening and closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory checklists.
• Resolve guest or team issues with urgency and professionalism.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned to meet business needs.
