Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Westmont, IL is seeking a friendly Shift Leader to guide a fast-paced team and ensure exceptional guest service. Earn between $17.25 and $17.75 per hour plus digital tips and benefits.

You will supervise staff, manage shifts, and help maintain product quality and cost control. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in food service or retail, strong communication, and the ability to work 8–9 hours standing.

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• You meet state Food Safety requirements and must obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to manage allergens and stand 8-9 hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts, including efficient assignment of tasks while providing feedback.
• Count drawers and follow proper daily cash handling procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.).
• Ensure health and safety standards are met and cleanliness is maintained.
• Handle customer complaints/issues and support a positive guest experience.
