Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shops is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily operations and coach team members in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

The role focuses on maintaining high product quality, delivering exceptional service, and achieving sales goals while upholding Potbelly standards and food safety practices. You’ll work under the Operations department on site with regular opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Minimum educational requirement: High School degree.
• Must pass a Food Safety Certification course (ServSafe or equivalent) after training.

Responsibilities

• Lead associates on shifts, including task assignment and training.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure customers leave satisfied.
• Open, transition, and close shifts; manage the line and duties.
• Control costs, labor, waste, and cash handling on the shift.
