Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Pleasant Prairie, WI is seeking a friendly Shift Leader to guide a fast-paced team and uphold our standards for quality and service. You will lead shifts, develop associates, and help manage costs while delivering an outstanding guest experience.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of supervisory experience in food service or retail, is 18+, and can pass Food Safety Certification. This is a part-time role with multiple shift options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass and obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Able to stand/walk 8-9 hours; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to manage allergens including peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts and assign tasks efficiently.
• Ensure security procedures are followed.
• Maintain back-of-house procedural standards.
• Count drawers and balance cash handling.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream).
• Comply with health and safety standards.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Operate cash register and balance cash.
• Address customer complaints and other duties as assigned.
