Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead a Winning Team on your shift, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth store operations. You’ll train and coach team members, handle food service tasks, and maintain inventory accuracy while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in retail/food service, 1+ year of leadership, and strong communication skills to foster teamwork and accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same.
• Strong communication and team building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift.
• Set the tone with a cheerful, can-do attitude that motivates your team.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance and support during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Train and guide your team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication are properly executed.
• Oversee key store processes including write-offs, cash wrap, and compliance documentation.
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
• Model communication and accountability with timely feedback to drive results.
