Job summary

RaceTrac is hiring a Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced, guest-focused team on every shift. You will guide store operations, coach associates, ensure food safety and cleanliness, and manage inventory and cash handling with a focus on service excellence.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in retail or food service and at least 1 year in a supervisory role, plus strong communication and leadership skills. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service preferred.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift and set the tone with a cheerful attitude.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time and escalate guest concerns with professionalism.
• Train and guide your team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, cashier processes, and promotional communications.
• Ensure shift change communication and team alignment throughout the day.
• Maintain store operations, safety, and documentation on designated shifts.
