Job summary

Blake’s Lotaburger in Bloomfield, NM is seeking a Shift Manager to support the management team as the Manager on Duty (MOD). You will help maintain fast, friendly service while guarding food and labor costs in a busy quick-service kitchen.

The role centers on leadership, training, and enforcing Blake’s policies. The ideal candidate is 18+, holds a High School diploma, and has 6 months of restaurant experience. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; Food Handler certification is required.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and have at least six months of restaurant experience at any level.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule up to 28 hours per week (PT) or 40 hours per week (FT).
• Tasteful neat appearance; tattoos/ piercings policy as stated in guidelines.
• Must understand health codes and procedures for handling raw meat and eggs.
• Must possess moderate level computer skills including email, POS, and Blake’s BOH system.
• Must possess strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read/write/speak in English; Spanish/English bilingual is a plus.
• Food Handler Certified Required
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in overseeing restaurant operations when scheduled as MOD.
• Maintain customer satisfaction while monitoring and controlling food, beverage, and labor costs.
• Provide fast, kind, and accurate customer service in a clean, sanitary atmosphere.
• Ensure proper preparation of each menu item following the correct process.
• Develop leadership skills to motivate crew members and ensure policy compliance.
• Document deposits and report discrepancies to the General Manager.
• Assist with inventory and adherence to safety and employment laws.
• Train and develop crew members for future shift manager roles.
• Perform other duties such as stocking, deliveries, and housekeeping.
