Job summary

Dunkin’ in the United States is seeking a Shift Leader to coach and support Crew Members, set goals, assign responsibilities, and motivate the team through recognition and hands-on leadership.

The role focuses on delivering high guest service, preparing food and beverages quickly, managing dine-in, takeout, and drive-thru, and ensuring cleanliness, safety, and brand standards across the shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and read English fluently.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• Previous experience in fast food or quick service restaurants is required.
• Strong guest focus with the ability to anticipate needs and exceed expectations.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build and lead effective teams by placing the right people in the right roles and celebrating shared success.

Responsibilities

• Support the training and development of Crew Members as directed by the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Communicate shift goals and hold team members accountable for performance.
• Serve as a role model for outstanding guest service, always prioritizing our guests.
• Prepare food and beverages quickly and accurately.
• Assemble and package orders for dine-in, takeout, and drive-thru guests.
• Take orders and handle payments at the front counter or drive-thru (as applicable).
• Deliver outstanding guest service with a positive attitude.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and guest areas clean and organized.
• Stock and organize inventory and refrigerated areas.
• Communicate clearly with managers and teammates.
• Drive a sense of urgency to ensure guest needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
• Reinforce proper use of systems, tools, and procedures, correcting deficiencies as needed.
• Monitor quality, service, cleanliness, and safety standards throughout the shift.
• Ensure restaurant standards and marketing initiatives are executed properly.
• Enforce compliance with all cleanliness, food safety, health, and security policies.
• Report equipment issues, share performance feedback, and communicate opportunities for improvement to management.
• Comply with all restaurant, brand, and franchisee policies and procedures.
