Job summary

Taco Bell in South Plainfield, New Jersey is seeking a Restaurant Shift Manager to oversee the operations during your shift, lead a team, ensure high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction while upholding company policies.

You will manage opening/closing procedures, scheduling, training, and coaching, while focusing on safety, inventory, and profitability to support the franchise’s growth and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the restaurant industry.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant crew members during your shift.
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members understand their responsibilities.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure outstanding customer service by greeting customers and resolving inquiries.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Create and maintain shift schedules to meet staffing needs.
• Train new hires on policies, procedures, and responsibilities.
• Monitor sales and expenses to achieve targets and control costs.
• Communicate with management and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
