Job summary

Taco Bell in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a Restaurant Shift Manager to oversee operations during your shift, lead a team, maintain food quality, cleanliness and guest service, and uphold company policies. You will supervise crew, train new hires, schedule shifts, manage cash and inventory, and ensure safety and compliance while driving guest satisfaction and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven supervisory/managerial experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills.
• Knowledge of food safety practices; ServSafe certification advantageous.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate activities of restaurant crew during your shift.
• Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Ensure outstanding customer service and resolve customer inquiries promptly.
• Manage opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and reconciliation.
• Maintain food safety standards, proper storage, and sanitation.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Create and maintain shift schedules; address staffing gaps.
• Train new hires on policies, procedures, and job responsibilities.
• Monitor sales and expenses to meet financial targets and control costs.
• Communicate with management and kitchen staff to ensure alignment.
