Job summary

Chicken Salad Chick in Derby, KS is seeking a Shift Leader (Hourly) to oversee restaurant operations during their shift, drive guest satisfaction, supervise staff, and uphold brand standards.

You will train teammates, manage breaks, monitor performance, handle cash and POS, and support the management team in achieving daily targets, while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming dining room for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some college coursework is a bonus.
• Minimum of 1 year in customer-facing restaurant experience.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role in hospitality.
• Must have or obtain required state/local food handler’s certification.
• Basic computer skills and fluency in English.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations, including staff supervision and guest service.
• Train new employees on procedures, guest experience, and company standards.
• Manage breaks, schedule adherence, and hand-offs between shifts.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and brand standards during the shift.
• Handle cash and POS reconciliation; monitor sales and costs.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
