The Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring a superb dining experience for each and every Jersey Mike's customer. The role involves leading customer service, food preparation, and store cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Exhibiting the 5 Core Values of 1836 Foods: Integrity, Initiative, Quality, Teamwork, and Servant Leadership
• Teaching teammates how to care for and serve customers
• Preparing Jersey Mike's high-quality sandwiches for in-store, online, and pickup orders
• Setting an example for team members in food prep, customer service, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen items
• Delivering excellent customer service, including greeting guests
• Performing safety checks and food storage procedures, reporting issues promptly
• Filling all team roles as needed, such as vegetable prep, baking, slicing, grilling, cashiering, and cleaning
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or demonstrated reading and math skills
• Positive attitude and initiative; previous restaurant experience not required
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills to motivate team members
• Willingness to learn and grow

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employees must be able to stand for long periods, handle food and equipment, lift up to 75 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to water, sanitation solutions, and high temperatures.
