Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to perform as a CSC and/or veterinary assistant while providing leadership across shifts. You will support hospital leadership, coordinate paraprofessional staff, and ensure outstanding client and patient care.

This role blends clinical support with administrative leadership to maximize productivity. The position requires a veterinary background with supervisory experience and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred; equivalent experience may qualify.
• Two years experience in healthcare or veterinary field; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities; ability to multi-task.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital operations approximately 20% of time, supporting Practice Manager and COS.
• Supervise paraprofessional staff and coordinate client/pet flow.
• Promote wellness plans and educate clients on services.
• Ensure high-quality patient care and maximize productivity of the team.
• Assist with surgery as applicable.
• Maintain medical records and assist with administrative tasks.
