Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to perform the duties of a CSC and/or veterinary assistant/technician while providing leadership across all shifts. This role supports client care, hospital productivity, and practice leadership in collaboration with the Practice Manager and COS.

The position involves approximately 20% leadership duties and 80% paraprofessional work, with responsibilities ranging from client education to assisting with surgeries where allowed by state practice acts,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or veterinary technician certification preferred.
• Two years of experience in healthcare or veterinary field required; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff and coordinate client/pet flow to maximize productivity.
• Act as CSC or veterinary assistant/technician; assist with procedures as allowed by state acts.
• Assist Practice Manager with staff scheduling, training, and day-to-day supervision.
