Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to perform the duties of a CSC or veterinary assistant while providing leadership across shifts. The role supports the Practice Manager and COS to ensure effective communication with clients, associates and field leadership for optimal hospital productivity.

The Shift Lead will balance paraprofessional tasks with leadership responsibilities, help coordinate staff, and maintain safety and quality standards in a high-volume veterinary setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Two years experience (healthcare, veterinary profession, service-type industry, etc.) required, with six months experience at Banfield preferred.
• Prior Supervisory Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff to ensure high-quality client service and productivity across shifts.
• Assist Practice Manager in scheduling, training and day-to-day supervision of the paraprofessional team.
• Provide professional client service, educate clients about health plans and hospital services, and resolve client issues.
