Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Shift Lead to perform duties of a CSC and/or veterinary assistant, while providing leadership across shifts. You will coordinate paraprofessional staff and support hospital leadership, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality client service.

Approximately 80% of time is paraprofessional duties with 20% leadership responsibilities, including team coordination and communication with Practice Manager and COS.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary paraprofessional roles preferred.
• Strong communication with clients and team.
• Ability to balance leadership with hands-on care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate paraprofessional staff to maximize hospital productivity.
• Support Practice Manager and COS with communication across teams.
• Promote and educate clients about wellness plans and hospital services.
• Assist with surgeries and care as applicable.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and proper patient handling.
