Job summary

Banfield is seeking a Shift Lead to perform duties of a CSC and veterinary assistant/technician, providing leadership across shifts and ensuring hospital operations run smoothly. You will coordinate paraprofessional staff, support Practice Manager, and maintain clear communication with clients and leaders.

The role includes both paraprofessional duties and leadership responsibilities, with time split approximately 80/20.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary tech licensure preferred.
• Two years of healthcare or veterinary experience.
• Six months Banfield experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff to coordinate client flow and pet care.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and services.
• Assist with surgery as applicable and restraining techniques.
• Manage schedules and shift coverage with Practice Manager.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of hospital areas.
• Provide professional client service and issue resolution.
