Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Shift Lead to perform CSC and/or veterinary assistant duties, while providing essential leadership across shifts. You will coordinate paraprofessional staff, support hospital leadership, and help ensure communication with clients and Field/ Central teams.

The role blends clinical support with operational supervision to maximize productivity and quality of care. The position emphasizes leadership about 20% of the time and paraprofessional duties about 80%,

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred.
• Two years experience in healthcare, veterinary profession, service-type industry required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Medical terminology training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff while performing CSC/tech duties.
• Promote hospital services and client education.
• Manage client flow and scheduling to maximize productivity.
• Assist with surgeries as applicable and maintain clean treatment areas.
• Ensure accurate medical records and proper documentation.
