Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership on site and support a busy veterinary hospital with paraprofessional duties. The role blends leadership tasks with hands-on veterinary paraprofessional work to maintain productivity and high-quality client care.

You will work with Practice Manager and Chief of Staff to communicate with clients, associates, and leadership while guiding the paraprofessional team to maximize hospital efficiency and patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred.
• Two years experience (healthcare, veterinary profession, service-type industry, etc.) required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Medical terminology training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with client service and staff leadership, 20% leadership and 80% paraprofessional duties.
• Recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and guiding client/pet flow for productivity.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Coordinate team activities with Practice Manager and COS to ensure smooth operations.
