Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership on the floor and support the veterinary team. The role blends paraprofessional duties with leadership tasks to ensure continuity across shifts and maintain high-quality patient care.

You will coordinate staff, guide client interactions, and uphold Banfield standards while aligning with Practice Manager and COS directives. The role emphasizes efficient clinic operations, accurate medical charting, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification preferred.
• Two years experience in healthcare or veterinary field required.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead duties ~20% of the time in absence of Practice Manager/Chief of Staff.
• Paraprofessional duties ~80% of the time, including client education and pet care assistance.
• Assist with surgeries as applicable and support veterinary team.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and labs.
