Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run daily drive-in operations and support the General Manager in delivering fast, friendly service. You will train and coach Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops to meet operational standards while upholding safety and quality.

The role also covers opening/closing duties, staffing decisions, inventory, and cost control, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry-level retail management.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support other employees to ensure quality food in a clean, safe and efficient manner.
• Open and/or close the restaurant.
• Monitor and adjust staffing levels, inventory, and food cost; perform weekly inventory.
• Address guest requests and resolve complaints with supervisor guidance.
