Job summary

EMCOR Government Services in Washington, DC seeks a Stationary Engineer/Shift Lead to oversee safe, reliable operation of central building systems across MER locations, CDC boiler plant, and related facilities. You will supervise a team, conduct tours, complete shift logs, and report findings to Operations Chief under the Local 99 agreement.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years operating central building equipment and HVAC systems.
• Proven ability to repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC auxiliary systems.
• Must have a DC 3rd Class Engineer license or a Maryland 1st Class Engineer license.
• Ability to obtain L security clearance.
• Physically capable of demanding tasks and respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, control systems, and pumps.
• Conduct building tours of MER, CDC, and boiler plant locations.
• Complete shift logs and report emergencies to the Chief of Operations.
• Distribute work orders and service requests among trades.
• Utilize Maximo for record keeping and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise staff on designated shifts and verify timesheets.
