Job summary

EMCOR Government Services, Inc. is seeking a Stationary Engineer for the GSA - St. Elizabeth's account in Washington, DC.

The role involves operating Central Plants and BAS systems to keep all building equipment running, under a Local 99 agreement. The ideal candidate holds a Maryland 1st class or DC 3rd Class Operating Engineer license with 5+ years of maintenance experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• License required: Maryland 1st class or DC 3rd Class Operating Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance and repairs on commercial-industrial building equipment.
• Familiar with BAS front end systems, Windows and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently or in a team.
• Willing to be on-call and work extended days or weekends as needed.
• Drug test pass and ability to obtain HSPD-12 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Central Plants, BAS, and related equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Inform Chief Engineer on plant matters and issues as they arise.
• Maintain inventory, supplies and equipment for the facility.
• Liaise with architects and contractors on renovations or major projects.
• Maintain records and ensure safety compliance and documentation.
• Be on-call rotation for after-hour coverage and extended shifts when required.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems throughout the campus.
