Job summary

Leslie’s Poolmart in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Shift Lead 1 to support store performance, deliver exceptional customer service, and drive sales and profitability. The role includes training a team, upholding safety and merchandising standards, and managing daily operations with a hands-on leadership approach.

You will work with the General Manager to learn operations, payroll, and expenses while helping to grow the business and improve customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience leading a team (preferred).
• A valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to achieve placement in the succession program.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with computers.
• Ability to complete required training within two months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of retail experience (external) or proven track record as Lead for at least 6 months with successful completed testing on Basic, Intermediate and Advanced training modules (internal).
• New hires with managerial experiences of a minimum of six months may be considered for this position.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to learn store operations, sales plans, payroll and expenses.
• Conducted water analysis and mechanical repairs.
• Increase commercial and residential sales and customer counts.
• Ensure the team follows all safety protocols.
• Identifying new talent to join the team.
• Maintain a clean, well merchandised, and welcoming environment.
• Assist with merchandising and inventory control.
• Opening and closing store responsibilities including daily bank deposits.
