Job summary

Leslie's Poolmart Inc. in Gretna, LA is seeking a Shift Lead 1 to support store operations, ensure customer service standards, and execute sales plans with profitability and merchandising goals.

You will train and mentor team members, lead by example, help manage daily operations, assist with inventory and merchandising, and ensure safety procedures are followed while delivering a welcoming shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience leading a team (preferred).
• A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete required training within two months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of retail experience or proven lead experience for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to learn store operations, sales plans, payroll and expenses.
• Conduct water analysis and mechanical repairs.
• Increase commercial and residential sales and customer counts.
• Ensure the team follows all safety protocols.
• Identify new talent to join the team.
• Maintain a clean, well merchandised, welcoming environment.
• Assist with merchandising and inventory control.
• Open and close store duties including daily bank deposits.
