Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support store leadership in sales, service, appearance and operations. This role may assume shift leadership in the absence of store management, with bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

You will lead a team to deliver excellent customer service, process store transactions, handle returns, transfers, and daily opening/closing duties, while maintaining store standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Required: Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Desired: Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store orders and transfers are processed promptly and customers are contacted on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges and issue refunds using correct payment methods.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and assign merchandising tasks to team members.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, secure money/deposits, and secure the building.
