Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support store leadership in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role may assume shift management in the absence of managers and invites bilingual candidates.

You will lead a team to deliver excellent service to retail and professional customers, ensure proper handling of buy online/ship to store orders, returns, and invoicing, and participate in opening/closing duties and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to deliver excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure adherence to service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase order ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds using the correct payment methods and stage returns properly.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules and proper clock-in/out according to policy.
• Perform opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, ensure security systems are active, and secure delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
