Job summary

Taco Bell is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations in our California store. The AGM will supervise staff, ensure cleanliness, hospitality, product quality and speed of service while modeling excellent service. This role trains employees, handles shifts, and maintains financial controls.

The position requires leadership, a minimum 6 months in a supervisory role, and the ability to work flexible hours. It offers growth opportunities within the Taco Bell organization.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Internal promote preferred who has completed all required learning zone training and certiifications.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 6 months in a shift management or supervisory role.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Open availability and the ability to work flexible hours and all shifts as needed.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly with a can-do attitude.
• Good hygiene and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain financial controls and coach/train employees.
• Positive, friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders accurately.
• Prepare and package food and drinks according to standards.
• Operate cash registers, process payments, and provide change.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness across all areas including back of house, lobby and restrooms.
• Assist with food prep and dishwashing as needed.
• Restock inventory and supplies.
• Manage shifts to ensure fair employee treatment and legal compliance.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
• Hire and onboard Taco Bell employees and guide new staff.
• Address safety concerns and escalate to management/HR as needed.
• Conduct daily food safety and prep audits and inventory monitoring.
• Oversee cash procedures and bank deposits with duties to support payroll/timekeeping.
