Job summary

Taco Bell is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) in California to lead shifts, coach team members, and ensure smooth restaurant operations under the General Manager. The AGM will drive quality, safety, and exceptional customer experiences while supporting staffing, training, and financial performance.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 2 years of restaurant experience with proven leadership on all shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Must pass the ServSafe Certification Course and Exam and maintain a current health card per local/state requirements.
• Reliable transportation, clear criminal background check, and acceptable MVR.
• Average 45-hour work week with flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: Lead shifts and ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality.
• Team Leadership: Coach and motivate team members and shift managers to prioritize the customer experience.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure health and safety standards and OSHA compliance.
• Training & Development: Assist in developing future leaders and provide constructive feedback.
• Recruiting & Onboarding: Collaborate with the GM on staffing needs and onboarding new hires.
• Financial Performance: Support the GM in achieving financial goals.
• Customer Experience: Deliver 5-star service and drive customer satisfaction.
• General Manager Support: Assist the GM in daily restaurant operations.
