Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee daily operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial facility in Nutley, NJ. The role may include supervising maintenance staff and coordinating with contractors to ensure optimal building performance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in operating MEP systems, with a high school diploma or equivalent and apprentice/trade training preferred. Strong safety and reporting skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprentice/trade school preferred.
• Proven experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Valid licenses or permits for trade as required; EPA 608 certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for assigned facility.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and assign tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections of equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors and technicians for repairs.
• Maintain inventory and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Prepare monthly reports on building operations for management.
• Adhere to safety, codes and company directives; complete required training.
