Salt & Straw in Portland is hiring Shift Coordinators to support daily shop operations, coach teammates, and ensure outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced retail ice cream environment. You will manage tasks, breaks, and mentor teammates to keep service smooth while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to work at least 3 shifts per week, including 2 closing shifts
• 6+ months of food service/retail experience (1+ year preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shop operations to ensure a smooth, welcoming guest experience.
• Coach and support Team Members through shifts with real-time feedback.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns.
• Assist with inventory counts, cash handling, and daily documentation.
• Openings, closings, and daily tasks to maintain shop standards.
• Support third-party delivery orders and ensure quality.
