Job summary

Salt & Straw in Portland, OR is hiring Shift Coordinators to support daily shop operations, coach teammates, and deliver memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You’ll coordinate opening/closing tasks, supervise team members, handle guest concerns, and ensure food safety and quality while fostering a welcoming, inclusive culture. Previous hospitality experience is preferred, with strong communication skills a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in food service or hospitality.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience coaching or leading a team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shop operations to ensure a welcoming guest experience.
• Coach and support team members with real-time feedback and training.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns.
• Handle inventory, cash handling, and daily documentation.
• Assist with opening and closing tasks and maintain shop standards.
• Support with food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety.
