Job summary

Nando's in Gaithersburg, Maryland is seeking a Shift Lead/Supervisor to coach and support hourly team members, ensure high standards of service, and maintain food safety and cash handling during each shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete onsite Shift Lead Training at a Nando's restaurant.
• Comfortable with both verbal and written English communication
• Must pass a background check
• Be able to hold a food handlers and alcohol serving license (as needed by jurisdiction)
• Possess excellent communication skills to navigate and resolve situations with guests and Nandocas

Responsibilities

• Lead all shifts to Nando's food safety and operational standards and deliver a safe guest/Nandoca experience
• Manage cash handling including monies issued, safe counts, deposits, refunds and voids per policy
• Oversee opening duties: read logs, review staff lineup, prepare catering orders, review inventory and set up for the day
• Oversee shift changeovers: ensure next manager/team are set up for success and logs updated
• Oversee closing duties: conduct final walk-through, reconcile cash, update end-of-day reports and logs
