Job summary

Nando's is hiring a Shift Lead to guide daily service at our Arlington location. You will coach hourly team members, ensure food safety standards, and manage shift operations with upbeat energy.

Responsibilities include opening/closing tasks, cash handling, and maintaining guest satisfaction. This role offers training, opportunities for advancement, and a supportive, family-like team environment.

Qualifications

• Complete onsite Shift Lead Training in one of our Nando's restaurants.
• Comfortable with both verbal and written English communication.
• Must pass a background check.
• Be able to hold a food handlers license (as needed by jurisdiction).
• Possess excellent communication skills to navigate situations with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Lead all shifts to Nando’s food safety and operational standards and provide an excellent guest and employee experience.
• Communicate respectfully and proactively to build credibility with peers.
• Engage with guests and Nandocas to develop relationships and lasting connections.
• Practice professional language and demeanor at all times with staff and guests.
• Oversee cash handling including deposits, refunds, and cashier checks per policy.
• Ensure safety and security of people and restaurant, including keys and alarms.
• Complete opening duties and prep sheets, review catering orders, and count cash.
• Own Back of House duties such as prep and line checks.
• Execute thorough shift changeovers and end-of-day procedures.
