Job summary

Taco Bell is hiring a Shift Leader (Hourly) to oversee daily restaurant operations on a shift basis. You will lead staff, coach teams, and drive an outstanding guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include supervising team members, ensuring food quality and safety, managing cash and POS, and collaborating with management to meet business goals. Growth into management is available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of customer-facing restaurant experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in restaurant/hospitality.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a food handler's certification for state/local area.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving abilities and quick, informed decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health/food safety, restaurant operations, and customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, and manage restaurant staff during the shift.
• Train new employees in procedures, guest experience, and company standards.
• Monitor employee performance and provide balanced feedback.
• Lead shifts by assigning tasks, managing breaks, and ensuring smooth hand-offs between shifts.
• Set a positive example through hustle, high standards, and a guest-first attitude.
• Coach and support team members in real time to improve speed, service, and execution.
• Ensure the restaurant is staffed by the schedule created and posted by RGM.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and operational restaurant at all times.
• Enforce policies and ensure compliance, escalate issues to AGM/RGM as needed.
