Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a store associate to support operations and deliver a distinctive customer experience in the absence of store management. You will open/close the store, handle cash, process returns, and ensure stockroom readiness for the business day while coordinating with deliveries.

You will greet customers, assist with products, maintain inventory accuracy, and support pricing, displays, and basic bookkeeping.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of store management and ensure systems start‑ups, cash handling, and floor readiness for the business day.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and assisting with products and services.
• Serve as liaison between management and team members when management is not present and communicate tasks to staff.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with displays, pricing, and housekeeping.
