Job summary

Everyday Coffee Company in New York state seeks a Shift Leader to coach team members during shifts, ensure Brand standards, and deliver exceptional guest service. You set goals, assign tasks, and motivate staff with timely feedback.

You will support the Restaurant Manager, maintain food/beverage quality, communicate priorities, and help with shift planning. Strong leadership, cash handling, and safety awareness are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in fast-paced settings.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to follow Brand standards and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members.
• Support Restaurant Manager in meeting goals and execution.
• Ensure Brand standards are met throughout shift, including food/beverage prep.
• Communicate shift priorities and results to team members.
• Complete shift deployment plans for adequate coverage.
• Coach team members with timely, constructive feedback.
• Delegate tasks for smooth workflow and resource efficiency.
• Assist with training of team members as needed.
• Oversee safety, security and profitability policies during shift.
• Prepare the next Shift Leader for handover.
• Ensure Food Safety standards are met.
• Manage inventory during the shift.
• Provide great guest service and coach others to do the same.
• Handle customer complaints and emergencies, resolve issues quickly.
• Manage cash over/short and ensure cash policies are followed.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality and policy adherence.
