Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a capable team member to open and close the store in the absence of management, manage cash and system start-ups, and ensure the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. You will engage customers, resolve issues, and uphold Walgreens service traits.

You will also assist with inventory, displays, pricing, and back-office tasks, while maintaining store standards and regulatory compliance. This role involves strong teamwork and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, handling cash and system start-ups.
• Responsible for opening back door of store for deliveries.
• Completes returns, refunds, cash drops, and provides change at registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Holds store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Coaches team on warehouse and vendor ordering, including deliveries.
• Registers sales and tracks scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
• Assists with order exceptions and reverse logistics.
• Evaluates and updates product displays, completes resets.
• Maintains inventory accuracy across departments, stockroom, and overstock.
• Ensures Outdate program adherence.
• Handles price changes and signage, follows pricing rules and regulations.
• Assists with cash reporting, ledgers, and bill payments.
• Supports store maintenance and repairs in manager's absence.
• Maintains food item separation and stock rotation (FIFO).
• Has working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Assists at Pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensures compliance with state/local laws regarding regulated products.
• Responsible for bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Complies with company policies and completes special assignments.
