Job summary

PLS is seeking a Shift Supervisor at our Gary, IN location to lead store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will supervise team members, assist the Store Manager, and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining a welcoming retail environment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of management experience in retail or service sectors, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of management experience in hospitality, financial services, retail or restaurant.
• Ability to engage with customers and develop relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining exemplary customer service within the store and building relationships with customers.
• Establishing a strong customer service culture within the store.
• Supporting the Assistant Store Manager to meet store goals and objectives.
• Motivating store team members to exceed customer expectations.
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Supervising team activities in the absence of the Store Manager, including transactions and cash handling.
• Coaching CSRs on compliant transactions and service standards.
• Reviewing and approving checks within limits.
• Supporting store marketing efforts within the community.
• Assisting with scheduling, cash, and store audits.
