Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. is seeking a Shift Lead at Store 30078, 4930 West Broad St, Columbus, OH. You will direct daily store activities, open/close the store, safeguard cash and property, and ensure excellent customer service across departments.

You will train team members, resolve complaints, handle reports and vendor communications, and support management in maintaining health, safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comprehensive product knowledge and ability to train others.
• Previous training / supervisory experience a plus.
• Proficiency in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Spanish or other languages a plus.
• Dependable and flexible; able to travel to multiple work locations.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Must adhere to uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to procedures.
• Direct and monitor day-to-day activities of store team members.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly manner.
• Resolve customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Document complaints and follow up to fix root causes.
• Perform cash handling procedures and till verification.
• Complete electronic store reports and report results to Store Manager.
• Casher and stocking duties as needed.
• Escalate employee issues to Store/ District Manager.
• Respond to vendors and receive deliveries.
• Stock inventory across departments and check dates.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Handle emergency management and evacuation procedures.
• Protect company property and prevent loss.
• Participate in panel interviewing but no hiring decisions.
• Perform other duties, including cross-department work.
