Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. is seeking a Shift Lead in Cleveland, OH to direct daily store team activities in the absence of Store and Assistant Manager.

You will open/close the store, supervise staff, and ensure excellent customer service while protecting assets and following company procedures. The role requires strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in cash handling and frontline supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to procedures
• Direct day-to-day activities of store team members across departments
• Communicate with customers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Resolve customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds
• Document complaints and follow up to fix root causes
• Perform cash handling, till preparation and cash drops
• Complete electronic store reports and report results to Store Manager
• Perform cashier and stocking duties as needed
• Escalate employee issues to Store Manager or District Manager
• Coordinate with vendors for deliveries and receiving
• Stock inventory across departments and maintain product dates
• Ensure health and safety compliance and store sanitation
• Handle emergencies and security procedures as needed
• Assist in interviews but no hiring decisions
• Other duties as assigned
