Job summary

S&G Stores in Ohio seeks a Shift Lead to support the store manager, ensuring efficient operations, policy compliance, and strong customer service leadership. You will help manage employees and work closely with the Store Manager to maximize sales and maintain asset controls.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, standing for long periods, and flexibility to work weekends and evenings. You’ll help execute merchandising and signage, and respond quickly to emergencies while

Qualifications

• Retail experience / Customer Service Experience required.
• Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Able to frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• Able to stand for an entire shift.
• Ability to periodically handle routine physical task such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures for short periods of time, e.g. in the store, outside, and in the cooler.
• Available to work various shifts and days of the week as required by the retail environment, including weekends, evenings, and busy periods/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service leadership
• Ensures that all company policies are being followed
• Promotes and maintains a clean and organized store appearance inside and out
• Can handle cash and card‑based transactions with efficiency and integrity
• Responds quickly to all emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees and notifies the appropriate individuals
• Ensures all merchandising and marketing programs are executed properly, which includes maintaining plan‑o‑gram integrity and appropriate sign placement
• Monitors store activities to ensure that transactions are taking place in the proper manner
• Ensures foodservice products are fresh and appealing by rotating products appropriately and removing out‑of‑date products
