Job summary

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, performing required system start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops; provides change to registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients, resolves issues, and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members to maintain Walgreens service traits.
• Holds store keys, opens/closes without management when needed, and assists with deliveries.
• Registers all sales accurately, tracks scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
• Reviews order exceptions and assists in returns and reverse logistics.
• Develops displays, performs resets, and manages stock/merchandise presentation.
• Maintains inventory counts and on-hand quantities across departments and stockroom.
• Ensures pricing accuracy and clear signage; handles local regulatory pricing tasks.
• Assists with bookkeeping tasks, cash reports, ledgers, and bill payments.
• Supports store maintenance and communicates repair needs.
• Separates food items per policy and rotates stock using FIFO; restocks as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment; assists at Pharmacy window as requested.
• Ensures compliance with state/local laws on regulated products; conducts bag checks.
• Complies with company policies and completes special assignments.
