Job summary

Walgreens is hiring for a store associate/lead role in the United States. You will open and close the store in the absence of management, handle cash and customer transactions, and ensure the floor and stockroom are ready for business.

You will greet customers, assist with products, and uphold Walgreens service standards to deliver a delightful shopping experience. You will also support inventory control, pricing tasks, and backroom operations, while coordinating with management and team members

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Arrest and conviction records may be considered for employment.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start-ups, cash handling, and readiness of floor and stock room for business day.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers by greeting and assisting with products and services; resolves issues for a positive experience.
• Liaises between management and team; communicates tasks when management is not present.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and basic department pricing, documents scanning errors, price verifications.
• Assists with vendor deliveries, backroom processes, and displays, with resets as needed.
• Performs housekeeping, backroom organization, and lighting/signage maintenance as required.
