Job summary

Walgreens Co. in Sun City West, AZ is seeking a capable retail associate to support store operations in the absence of management. You will open/close the store, handle cash, assist customers, and help ensure merchandise and backroom readiness for daily business.

You will also engage customers, resolve issues, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold store standards. Prior leadership or key-holder experience and fluent English are required; Walgreens may consider applicants with restrictions

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts and adheres to pricing and signage requirements.
• Assists with cashiering, back-room organization, and ensuring store readiness for deliveries and daily operations.
