Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus in North Carolina is seeking a Shift Supervisor to support store management and lead the team on assigned shifts. As Manager on Duty when needed, you will help maintain neighbor service, animal care, safety, and store operations.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Leadership experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to lead a team and make quick decisions as MOD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty and guide team through shift.
• Lead by example to meet neighbor service and professionalism.
• Assign tasks, monitor completion, and coach in real time.
• Assist with training and onboarding.
• Address neighbor concerns and escalate issues as needed.
• Execute opening/closing procedures and cash handling.
• Support stocking, merchandising, and price changes.
• Maintain cleanliness, animal care, safety, and store conditions.
• Report team, operational, or safety concerns to management.
• Perform nail trims and other approved services when trained.
• Perform other duties as required.
