Job summary

Peet’s Coffee seeks a Shift Lead to manage daily cafe operations, guide a small team, and ensure outstanding customer service in a busy store. You will open/close, handle cash, monitor inventory, and keep the coffee bar welcoming and efficient.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a leadership role and experience with POS systems, with a schedule offering three days a week or more, including early mornings, evenings, weekends or holidays. 18+ and US work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a leadership role or directing others.
• 1 year experience with POS/cash handling responsibilities.
• Must maintain schedule availability of at least three days a week.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with focus and clarity by managing task deployment and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by modeling engagement, craftsmanship, and friendly service while maintaining a clean, welcoming coffeebar.
• Support a positive team environment through clear communication, collaboration, accountability, and reliability.
• Ensure operational excellence by executing opening/closing routines, cash handling, inventory tasks, and visual updates during shifts.
